BIO

Devon Du (Wenyuxuan Du) is a China-born, New York-based multimedia composer specializing in music for film, advertising, and video games. She is a certified artist with the Silicon Beach Arts Council in Los Angeles and maintains a long-term collaboration with Tencent, having composed music for AAA game titles such as Nizhan: Future and Honor of Kings.

Her scoring is known for its emotional subtlety and textural sensitivity, with a particular strength in incorporating modern, experimental orchestral textures into contemporary screen music. Devon is also an accomplished Chinese ruan performer, and is proficient in piano and flute. This cross-cultural and multi-instrumental background deeply shapes her musical voice and fuels her ongoing exploration of how traditional musical elements can be reimagined within modern scoring contexts. Her work spans orchestral, electronic, and jazz-inspired styles, blending cinematic depth with innovative sound design.

In addition to her work as a composer, Devon is also a filmmaker. Her short film Hi, Womb! has received recognition from multiple international film festivals, including Top Five Short Films at the Chongqing Youth Film Festival, Official Selection at the Oregon Independent Film Festival (International Short Films), Finalist for Best Student Film at the New York International Film Awards (NYIFA), and Best Student Film Award Winner at the Los Angeles Film Awards, among others. As a director, her films often employ surreal and poetic visual languages to explore urgent social realities, with a particular focus on the lived experiences, challenges, and futures of women.
